Regular Season Round 11: Olimpia - Young Angels 50-57

Bottom-ranked Belarusian Olimpia (0-7) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to ninth ranked Slovakian Young Angels (4-3) 57-50 on Saturday evening. Olimpia trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 20-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 50-57 at the end of the game. Young Angels forced 27 Olimpia turnovers and had a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American center Channon Fluker (193-97, college: CSUN) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Bria Goss (178-92, college: Kentucky) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (183-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Arina Masko (178-99) scored 16 points and 4 steals. Olimpia's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Young Angels have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with SBS Ostrava and Orange Lions. Olimpia at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost.
