Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Polpharma (3-14) was outscored on the road by tenth ranked Spojnia Stargard (8-9) 92-71 on Sunday. Spojnia Stargard looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Polpharma's players. American swingman Raymond Cowels-III (191-91, college: Santa Clara) nailed 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian Martynas Paliukenas (191-93, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 16 points and 8 assists and American forward Brett Prahl (206-94, college: Milwaukee) added 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Polpharma in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spojnia Stargard moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Slask Wroclaw and Radom. Polpharma lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Spojnia Stargard will meet league's second-placed Anwil in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polpharma will play against Trefl (#6) and hope to secure a win.
