There was no surprise when 9th ranked Basic-Fit Brussels (4-9) were defeated at home by seventh ranked Kangoeroes (6-7) 76-72. It was an exceptional evening for American Shavon Coleman (196-92, college: LSU) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Rayshawn Simmons (193-93, college: Cent Michigan, agency: Two Points) accounted for 5 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists for the winning side. Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Domien Loubry (186-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists and American-Bahamas Jonathan Augustin-Fairell (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Basic-Fit Brussels in the defeat. Basic-Fit Brussels' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kangoeroes maintains seventh place with 6-7 record. Basic-Fit Brussels lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Kangoeroes' next round opponent will be league's leader Oostende at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basic-Fit Brussels will play against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#3) and hope to win that game.
