Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (15-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Maccabi Haifa (8-8) in Tel-Aviv 91-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi Haifa. Maccabi T-A made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for Greek-American Tyler Dorsey (193-96, college: Oregon, agency: Wasserman) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. International forward Deni Avdija (206-1) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman James Young (198-95, college: Kentucky) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and Venezuelan Nestor Colmenares (203-87, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Haifa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi T-A have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. Newly promoted Maccabi Haifa keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Nes-Ziona. Maccabi T-A's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tel-Aviv Hapoel Tel-Aviv.
