The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Puente Alto's (17-7) road victory over second-best Deportivo Valdivia (13-10) 76-69 on Sunday. American-Nigerien swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-94, college: UCF) scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Pablo Coro (190-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Argentinian point guard Nicolas Ferreyra (185-85) with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Argentinian center Ignacio Alessio (203-87) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Deportivo Valdivia players scored in double figures. Puente Alto have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-7 record. Defending champion Deportivo Valdivia keeps the second place with ten games lost. Puente Alto will face Los Leones (#5) in Quilpue in the next round.
