Regular Season Round 11: SBS Ostrava - Olimpia 64-61

Bottom-ranked Belarusian Olimpia (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to eighth ranked Czech SBS Ostrava (4-3) 64-61. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-10 Olimpia's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 64-61 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Olimpia 36-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian power forward Nevena Markovic (193-93, college: IUPUI) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian swingman Ivana Grbic (182-91, college: Eckerd) accounted for 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Four SBS Ostrava players scored in double figures. Point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) came up with 16 points and forward Katsiaryna Karpuk (185-99) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Olimpia in the defeat. Olimpia's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. SBS Ostrava moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Young Angels and Orange Lions. Olimpia at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost.
