Regular Season Round 28: Liaoning FL - Xinjiang FT 111-114

The most exciting game of round 28 in the CBA took place in Yingkou. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Flying Leopards (19-10) to second ranked Xinjiang FT (22-6) 114-111 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Flying Leopards. Xinjiang FT looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ian Clark (190-91, college: Belmont) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 13 assists. The former international center Zhou Qi (217-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Lance Stephenson (196-90, college: Cincinnati) replied with 31 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) added 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Flying Leopards. Four Xinjiang FT and five Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Xinjiang FT maintains second position with 22-6 record having six points less than leader Guangdong ST. Flying Leopards at the other side keep the third place with ten games lost. They share the position with Beijing Ducks and Shandong GS. Xinjiang FT are looking forward to face league's leader Guandong Tigers in Dongguan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Flying Leopards will play at home against Golden Bulls and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
