Rather expected game when 15th ranked Varese Robur (4-13) was crushed on the road by twelfth ranked Vicenza (7-10) 86-67 on Sunday. Vicenza outrebounded Varese Robur 42-26 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (204-86, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Simone Aromando (200-97) chipped in 11 points and 14 rebounds. Five Vicenza players scored in double figures. Point guard Riccardo Ballabio (181-98) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Marco Allegretti (204-81) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Varese Robur's coach Francesco Vescovi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vicenza moved-up to eleventh place in B, which they share with LTC Sangiorg.
