Regular Season Round 15: Bologna - Ragusa 85-84

Date: January 19, 2020
The most exciting game of round 15 in the Serie A1 took place in Bologna. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Ragusa (12-2) to thirteenth ranked Bologna (4-11) 85-84 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Ragusa. Bologna made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American center Isabelle Harrison (190-93, college: Tennessee) who saved her team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds. Croatian forward Ana-Marija Begic (190-94) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Dearica Hamby (191-93, college: Wake Forest, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Romanian-American power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California) added 22 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Ragusa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bologna moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Torino. Ragusa at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Bologna is looking forward to face higher ranked Vigarano (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ragusa will play against the league's leader Schio (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
