Regular Season Round 30: Kanazawa - Saitama B. 75-95

Very expected game when 12th ranked Kanazawa (5-25) was smashed by sixth ranked Saitama B. (15-14) in Ishikawa 95-75 on Sunday. Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) notched 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and point guard Rikiya Yamaguchi (180-96) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Saitama B. players scored in double figures. Saitama B.'s coach Thomas Roijakkers used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even 25 points and 8 rebounds by Bahamas center Gjio Bain (212-85, college: S.Mississippi) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa. Point guard Daichi Tomioka (165-95) added 18 points and 5 assists. Saitama B. maintains sixth position with 15-14 record, which they share with Okayama. Loser Kanazawa stay dead last with 25 lost games. Saitama B. will meet at home higher ranked Aisin AW (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kanazawa will play against Tokyo HT (#5) and hope to secure a win.
