Regular Season Round 19: SS Napoli - 2B Control TR 62-49

An interesting game took place in Napoli where higher ranked 2B Control TR (10-9) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked SS Napoli (9-10) 62-49 on Sunday. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Diego Monaldi (185-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international swingman Daniele Sandri (197-90) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four SS Napoli players scored in double figures. SS Napoli's coach Stefano Sacripanti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side point guard Federico Bonacini (190-99) responded with 14 points and American forward Kenny Goins (201-96, college: Michigan St.) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted SS Napoli maintains eleventh place in A2 with 9-10 record. Loser 2B Control TR dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. SS Napoli will face higher ranked Blu Basket TVG (#10) in Treviglio in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
