Regular Season Round 19: Basket Scafati - Derthona TRT 82-74

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Derthona TRT (10-9) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Basket Scafati (10-9) 82-74 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American point guard JJ Frazier (178-95, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Kenny Gaines (190-94, college: Georgia, agency: 3Eye) scored 18 points. Basket Scafati moved-up to sixth place in A2. Basket Scafati will face Orlandina CdO (#12) in Capo d'Orlando in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Derthona TRT will play at home against the league's second-placed Novipiu Casale (#2) and hope to win that game.
