Regular Season Round 30: Iwate Big Bulls - Gifu Swoops 92-72

B3 League top team - Iwate Big Bulls (25-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Gifu Swoops (6-23) 92-72. Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Koudai Nakano (183-94) chipped in 20 points during the contest (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Joe Wolfinger (214-85, college: Citadel) with 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward AJ John (202-96, college: UC Davis) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Iwate Big Bulls have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-5 record. Gifu Swoops lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 23 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Kagoshima (#8) in Renova in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gifu Swoops will play at home against Shizuoka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
