Regular Season Round 9: Sudbury F. - Island S. 139-125

The game between Top Four teams took place in Greater Sudbury. Third ranked host Sudbury F. (5-4) defeated second-best The Storm (5-6) 139-125. Strangely The Storm outrebounded Sudbury F. 59-44 including 20 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The Storm was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Jaylen Bland (190-93, college: UC Riverside) nailed 38 points (!!!) for the winning side and point guard Braylon Rayson (175-94, college: Cent Michigan) accounted for 21 points and 10 assists. Point guard Johnathan Loyd (173-91, college: Oregon) came up with 41 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and guard Antwon Lillard (198-95, college: Bowling Green) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for The Storm in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The Storm's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sudbury F. moved-up to second place which they share with defeated The Storm. The Storm at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Sudbury F. will play against St.John's E. (#3) in St. John's in the next round, which may be the game of the day. The Storm will play at home against the league's leader Moncton Magic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
