Regular Season Round 30: Saga B. - Aisin AW 98-92

The most important game in the last round took place in Saga between third ranked Aisin AW (21-9) and fourth ranked Saga B. (20-10) on Sunday night. Aisin AW was defeated by Saga B. in a tough game on the road 92-98. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Aisin AW. Saga B. made 31-of-41 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game. Saga B. had a 35-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. 33 personal fouls committed by Aisin AW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Shuhei Komatsu (185-85) contributed with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 21 rebounds and point guard Yuki Ishihara (180-91) added 21 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Aisin AW. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Saga B. maintains fourth position with 20-10 record. Aisin AW at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Saga B. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Toyoda Gosei in Aichi in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Aisin AW will play on the road against Saitama B. and is hoping to win this game.
