Regular Season Round 19: Basket RAV - A.Costa IM 92-68

Serie A2 top team - Basket RAV (16-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked A.Costa IM (9-10) in Ravenna 92-68. Basket RAV made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Basket RAV outrebounded A.Costa IM 35-18 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Basket RAV especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by A.Costa IM's players. It was a quality performance for American guard Giddy Potts (188-95, college: MTSU) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 4 assists. Naturalized Estonian forward Kaspar Treier (203-99) accounted for 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Guard Lorenzo Baldasso (192-95) came up with 15 points and American forward Anthony Morse (206-94, college: Tenn Tech) added 13 points respectively for A.Costa IM in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Basket RAV maintains first place in A2 with 16-3 record. A.Costa IM at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Basket RAV will play against GSA Udine (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. A.Costa IM will play against JuveCaserta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
