No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Ruvo (9-8) won against on the road 15th ranked Scauri (2-15) 83-72 on Sunday. Scauri was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Giovanni Laquintana (187-91) stepped up and scored 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and point guard Simone Bonfiglio (181-88, agency: Agency) chipped in 16 points. Riccardo Murri (-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Edoardo Lucarelli (193-99) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ruvo moved-up to eighth place in B. Loser Scauri dropped to the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Ruvo will face higher ranked Roma Luiss (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Scauri will play against Napoli Parten. (#7) and hope to win that game.
