Regular Season Round 15: Schio - Torino 75-61

Serie A1 top team - Schio (14-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Torino (4-11) 75-61. They outrebounded Torino 50-31 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Schio players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Torino's players. It was a great evening for Spanish guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: FSU) who led her team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists. New Zealand-British Jillian Harmon (186-87, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Schio players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (193-99, agency: BeoBasket) with 31 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Jade Johnson-Walker (187-95, college: St.John's, agency: Two Points) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Schio have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-1 record. Torino at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Bologna. Schio will play against league's second-placed Ragusa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Torino will play against Palermo (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
