Regular Season Round 34: Kagawa FA - Yamagata 86-76

The game between second ranked Kagawa FA (23-9) and 6th ranked Yamagata (8-26) in Takamatsu on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Kagawa FA beat guests from Yamagata 86-76. It was a very good performance for American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) contributed with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. American forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: Oklahoma St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Hiroki Furuhashi (185-92) added 11 points in the effort for Yamagata. Yamagata's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kagawa FA have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 23-9 record behind leader Shinshu BW. Yamagata lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 26 games lost. Kagawa FA will face league's leader Dragonflies in Hiroshima in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yamagata will play on the road against Ibaraki R. (#3) in Mito and hope to win that game.
