No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Naft Abadan (15-5) crushed at home 12th ranked Kerman (4-14) 92-67 on Monday. Naft Abadan forced 30 Kerman turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Kerman's players. The former international Reza Ranjbar orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Mehdi Jafari (204-96) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Majid Rahimian added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kerman. Five Naft Abadan and four Kerman players scored in double figures. Kerman's coach Mohammad Kasaipour gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 15-5 record. Newly promoted Kerman keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Naft Abadan are looking forward to face Raad (#11) in Tehran in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kerman will play at home against Toufarghan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
