There was no surprise in Minnesota where 5th ranked Timberwolves (15-28) were defeated by first ranked Nuggets (31-12) 107-100 on Monday. Nuggets outrebounded Timberwolves 53-42 including 40 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Michael Porter-Jr (208-98, college: Missouri) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian center Nikola Jokic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Nuggets players scored in double figures. Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) produced 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian-American guard Josh Okogie (193-98, college: Georgia Tech) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Nuggets maintains first place with 31-12 record. Timberwolves lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with 28 games lost.
