Leader Maccabi Ramat Gan delivered the twelfth victory on Monday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Holon (6-8) 74-63. American guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-92, college: FSU, agency: Ron Sport) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. American forward Betnijah Laney (183-93, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and her fellow American import power forward Karisma Penn (188-91, college: Illinois) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi Ramat Gan (12-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Holon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Raanana and M.Haifa. Maccabi Ramat Gan will meet at home Ashdod (#4) in the next round. Holon will play against Petah Tikva and hope to secure a win.
