Rather predictable result in Guangzhou where fourteenth ranked Leopards (13-17) smashed 18th ranked Long-Lions (6-24) 120-97. Leopards shot 63.4 percent from the field and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Leopards outrebounded Long-Lions 41-28 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The former international center Zijie Shen (205-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Five Leopards players scored in double figures. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) answered with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) added 18 points in the effort for Long-Lions. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leopards moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Fujian S. Long-Lions at the other side keep the eighteenth position with 24 games lost. Leopards' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo and are hoping to win another game.
