Regular Season Round 91: Atlanta H. - LA Clippers 102-95

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Clippers (31-13) against fifth ranked Hawks (11-34) on Wednesday night. Visiting Clippers were defeated by Hawks in a tough game in Atlanta 95-102. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Clippers. Hawks made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Clippers 63-45 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Hawks players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for U.S. Virgin Islands-American John Collins (208-97, college: Wake Forest) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. Guard Brandon Goodwin (188-95, college: FGCU) helped adding 19 points. At the losing side forward Montrezl Harrell (203-94, college: Louisville) responded with 30 points and 7 rebounds and Louis Williams (185-86) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hawks maintains fifth place with 11-34 record. Clippers at the other side still keep top position with 13 games lost. They share it with Denver N. and Miami Heat.
