Regular Season Round 30: Shimane SM - Nagoya DD 75-81

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Diamond Dolphins' (12-18) road victory over 6th ranked Shimane Magic (10-20) 81-75 on Wednesday. Diamond Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Takaya Sasayama (178-93) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American DaJuan Summers (203-88, college: Georgetown) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Diamond Dolphins moved-up to third place, which they share with Toyama G. Newly promoted Shimane Magic keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will face league's second-placed Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shimane Magic will play on the road against Shiga L-Stars (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
