Regular Season Round 18: Slask 2 WRC - Katy Wroclaw 62-70

Leading Slask 2 WRC (14-3) recorded its third loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Katy Wroclaw. (10-6) 70-62. Katy Wroclaw. outrebounded Slask 2 WRC 40-29 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Tomasz Giniewski (195-88) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Grzegorz Kaczmarek (193-83) supported him with 17 points. Four Katy Wroclaw. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by center Szymon Walski (205-0) did not help to save the game for Slask 2 WRC. Kacper Gordon (186-2) added 19 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Katy Wroclaw. maintains fourth position in Group D with 10-6 record. Slask 2 WRC at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Katy Wroclaw. will play against Nysa (#9) in Otmuchow in the next round where they are favorite. Slask 2 WRC will play on the road against Stal II Ostrow (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
