Regular Season Round 14: Orlovi - Tresnjevka 76-55

Bottom-ranked Bosnian Orlovi managed to get a second victory, breaking the four-game losing streak. This time they outleveled ninth-ranked Croatian Tresnjevka in Banja Luka 76-55. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference suggests that Orlovi is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Tresnjevka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian guard Marina Ristic (168-87) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Serbian swingman Tamara Rajic (182-93) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Orlovi players scored in double figures. Center Josipa Pavic (189-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Anja Majstorovic (184-94) added 0 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Tresnjevka. Tresnjevka's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Orlovi maintains tenth position with 2-12 record. Tresnjevka lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Orlovi will play against higher ranked Beroe (#3) in Stara Zagora in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tresnjevka will play at home against Banovici (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
