Regular Season Round 28: Seagulls - KTP Basket 97-79

An interesting game for Seagulls (23-4) which hosted in Helsinki 4th ranked KTP Basket (15-12). First ranked Seagulls had an easy win 97-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KTP Basket. KTP Basket was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 55-35 second half run of Seagulls. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to KTP Basket's 34 and made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Trae Bell-Haynes (188-95, college: Vermont) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and American guard Elijah Stewart (196-95, college: USC) who added 20 points during the contest. Five Seagulls players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward JayVaughn Pinkston (201-91, college: Villanova) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Byron Wesley (196-92, college: Gonzaga) scored 11 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Seagulls have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-4 record. KTP Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 12 games lost. Seagulls will play against Kauhajoki (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KTP Basket will play against Pyrinto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
