Regular Season Round 91: Miami Heat - Washington W. 134-129

Not a big story in a game when 4th placed Wizards (14-29) lost to first ranked Heat (31-13) in Miami 129-134 on Wednesday. Heat made 31-of-36 free shots (86.1 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Wizards were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for swingman Jimmy Butler (201-89, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Slovenian point guard Goran Dragic (190-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Bradley Beal (196-93, college: Florida) answered with 38 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Latvian forward Davis Bertans (208-92) added 24 points and 4 assists in the effort for Wizards. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Heat maintains first place with 31-13 record, which they share with Denver N. and LA Clippers. Loser Wizards keep the fourth position with 29 games lost. Heat will have a break next day. Wizards will play on the road against Cavaliers (#5) in Cleveland and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
