Regular Season Round 19: GKS Tychy - Pogon Prudnik 94-99

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Pogon Prudnik (7-10) defeated on the road higher ranked GKS Tychy (8-9) 99-94 on Wednesday. Pogon Prudnik made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. GKS Tychy was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Adrian Sulinski (185-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. The former international Marcin Sroka (201-81) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) responded with 25 points and Michal Jankowski (191-87) scored 21 points. Five Pogon Prudnik and four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Pruszkow. Loser GKS Tychy keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face higher ranked STK Czarni (#3) in Slupsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
