Regular Season Round 18: Wisla Krakow - AZS AGH KR 84-65

There was a change at the 2Liga leadership position after last games. Round 18 most important game was a defeat of league's leader AZS AGH KR (15-2). They were crushed by second ranked Wisla Krakow (15-1) 84-65 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of AZS AGH KR. It was a key game for the top position in Group C. They outrebounded AZS AGH KR 42-29 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by AZS AGH KR helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Jakub Zaczek (204-96) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Artur Wlodarczyk (180-96) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) with 19 points and power forward Tomasz Deja (200-83) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wisla Krakow have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group C leader. AZS AGH KR at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Dziki Wwa. AZS AGH KR will play next round against AZS PCz trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Wisla Krakow will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Bielsko-Biala on the road.
