The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Peli-Karhut (15-3) on the court of fourth ranked Forssan Alku on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Forssan Alku 81-56. The game without a history. Forssan Alku led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forssan Alku outrebounded Peli-Karhut 50-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Delaney Bruce (184-96, college: EWU, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. American forward Zykera Rice (185, college: Gonzaga) replied with 14 points and the former international Linda-Lotta Lehtoranta (178-91, agency: LBM Management) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Peli-Karhut. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Forssan Alku have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Catz. Defending champion Peli-Karhut still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Kouvot. Forssan Alku is looking forward to face ViVe (#9) in Vimpeli in the next round where they are favorite. Peli-Karhut will play at home against HyPo (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
