Rather expected game in Grodno where 5th ranked BrGU COR Victoria (6-9) was crushed by third ranked Olimpia (12-4) 90-53 on Thursday. The game without a history. Olimpia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BrGU COR Victoria to just 6 points in second quarter. Olimpia dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to BrGU COR Victoria's 30. Olimpia forced 27 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by BrGU COR Victoria's players. Forward Katsiaryna Karpuk (185-99) fired 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (183-87) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Anastasia Golovchiner (184-2) produced 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Anastasia Babak (180-2) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Olimpia and four BrGU COR Victoria players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia maintains third position with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader Gorizont. Loser BrGU COR Victoria keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. Olimpia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BrGU COR Victoria will play against Gomel (#9) and hope to secure a win.
