Regular Season Round 93: San Antonio S. - Phoenix Suns 99-103

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Spurs (20-24) lost to third ranked Suns (19-26) in San Antonio 99-103 on Friday. Suns made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for Devin Booker (198-96, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Swingman Kelly Oubre (201-95, college: Kansas) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) answered with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (211-85, college: Texas) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Spurs. Spurs' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Suns maintains third place with 19-26 record having eight points less than leader Toronto R. Loser Spurs dropped to the fourth position with 24 games lost.
