An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Keflavik. First ranked Stjarnan faced second-best Keflavik. Guests from Stjarnan (13-2) defeated host Keflavik (11-4) 83-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Keflavik. Keflavik was trailing by 9 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-17 charge of Stjarnan, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-91, college: Newberry, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. American power forward Urald King (198-90, college: SE Oklahoma, agency: Duran International) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was British forward Deane Williams (203-96, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Keflavik's coach Hjalti Vilhjalmsson tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Stjarnan have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-2 record. Loser Keflavik keeps the second position with four games lost. Stjarnan will meet at home Njardvik (#5) in the next round. Keflavik will play against Valur in Reykjavik and hope to secure a win.
