Another interesting game was also this time a derby match between teams from Nassau: Bahamas Univ. (#2) and Defenders (#5). Defenders were smashed at home by 26 points 69-95 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Bahamas Univ. held Defenders to an opponent 9.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 2.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Strangely Defenders outrebounded Bahamas Univ. 229-140 including a 206-125 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Bahamas Univ. brought some defensive toughness making 23 blocks. The best player for the winners was Kemsy Sylvestre who scored 30 points and 4 assists. Point guard Robert Joseph (178, college: N.Okl.-Enid. JC) chipped in 22 points and 5 blocks. Gregory Seymour produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 17 steals and Carrington Dean added 13 points, 5 assists and 6 steals respectively for the hosts. Bahamas Univ. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Rockets. Defenders lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Bahamas Univ.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena Rebels.
