Regular Season Round 21: Mulhouse - Chartres 86-85

Top ranked C'Chartres (18-3) recorded its third loss on the court of tenth ranked Mulhouse on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Mulhouse 86-85. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of C'Chartres. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Guillaume Boucard (198-90, college: Carleton) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Guinean center David Conde (202-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Mulhouse's coach Jean-Luc Monschau used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward DuVaughn Maxwell (201-91, college: Hampton) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Olivier Romain (185-88) added 17 points respectively. Four Mulhouse and five C'Chartres players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Mulhouse maintains tenth place in Group B with 9-12 record. C'Chartres at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Mulhouse are looking forward to face Besancon (#11) on the road in the next round. C'Chartres will play against Andrezieux (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
