There was no surprise in Mogilev where 6th ranked Tsmoki II (4-13) was crushed by first ranked COR-Borisfen (16-1) 107-54 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 107-54. COR-Borisfen dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki II's 30. COR-Borisfen forced 21 Tsmoki II turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. COR-Borisfen looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tsmoki II's players. Jamaican-Canadian forward Devin Johnson (196-94, college: Toronto) fired 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Evgeniy Ivanov (198-84) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Five COR-Borisfen players scored in double figures. Coach Andrei Krivonos's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Nikita Godun (201-1) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Arseni Tugarinov (198-2) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for COR-Borisfen. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. Tsmoki II lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. COR-Borisfen will face Rubon (#3) in Vitebsk in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
