An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sant Adria. First ranked Sant Adria faced 4th placed Unicaja. Host Sant Adria (12-3) defeated guests from Malaga (9-6) 59-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Unicaja. Sant Adria forced 26 Unicaja turnovers. It was a good game for Senegalese center Maimouna Diarra (198-91) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Txell Alarcon (179-3) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88) answered with 9 points and 14 rebounds and Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-93) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Unicaja. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sant Adria have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group B with 12-3 record, which they share with Gran Canaria and Ardoi. Newly promoted Unicaja dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Barca CBS. Sant Adria will play against Almeria (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Unicaja will play against Segle XXI and hopes to get back on the winning track.
