Regular Season Round 17: Mollet - Badalones 85-73

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Mollet (11-5) won against at home 9th ranked Badalones (9-7) 85-73 on Saturday. Power forward Javi Rodriguez (202-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Roger Guardia (193-85, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 16 points. Four Mollet players scored in double figures. Forward Pedro Cuesta (190-77) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Marc Cuesta (190-89) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Mollet. They maintain second place in Group C-B with 11-5 record behind leader Lliria, which they share with Cornella and Sant Adria. Newly promoted Badalones dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Mollet will face Barbera (#12) in Barcelona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Badalones will play at home against Mataro Feimat (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
