Rather expected game when 10th ranked HyPo (2-16) was smashed by seventh ranked Helmi Basket (6-12) in Hyvinkaa 88-68 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-68. Helmi Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. International center Awak Kuier (194-1) notched a double-double by scoring 31 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international Janette Aarnio (181-2) supported her with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. Four Helmi Basket players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by power forward Titta-Riina Lepisto (182-90) did not help to save the game for HyPo. Center Nea-Paula Kuisma (183-99) added 23 points. Helmi Basket maintains seventh position with 6-12 record, which they share with ToPo. Loser HyPo stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Helmi Basket will meet at home league's second-placed Kouvottaret in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
