Regular Season Round 17: Easo - Arha Hoteles 62-70

There was a minor upset in San Sebastian where 3rd placed Easo (11-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Arha Hoteles (10-6) 70-62 on Saturday. Serbian forward Petar Radojicic (206-94, college: St.Mary's, TX) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Andres Pariente (179-95) chipped in 18 points. Four Arha Hoteles players scored in double figures. Martin Dorronsoro (200-1) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and forward Asier Azpeitia (192-98) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Easo's coach Gotzon Arrieta tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Arha Hoteles. They moved-up to fourth place in Group A-A, which they share with Nissan Burgos and Ardoi. Easo lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the second position with five games lost. Arha Hoteles will face bottom-ranked Tabirako (#10) in Durango in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Easo will play on the road against Santurtzi (#13) and hope to win that game.
