Rather predictable result in Hyogo where second ranked Nishinomiya S. (23-12) defeated 5th ranked Kumamoto V. (13-22) 86-80 on Saturday. Nishinomiya S. made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: DePaul) helped adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Nishinomiya S.'s coach Mathias Fischer used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Nishinomiya S. maintains second place with 23-12 record having just two points less than leader Shinshu BW. Loser Kumamoto V. keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost.
