Regular Season Round 19: Notec Inowr. - AZS UMK Torun 76-78

Top ranked Notec Inowr. (11-4) recorded its fourth loss in Inowroclaw on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by eighth ranked AZS UMK Torun (7-8) 78-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Notec Inowr.. Strangely Notec Inowr. outrebounded AZS UMK Torun 42-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. Point guard Mikolaj Ratajczak (193-97) fired 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Marcin Wielunski (196-96) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. AZS UMK Torun's coach Kamil Michalski used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Center Bartosz Muda (202-96) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and center Michal Sadlo (205-94) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five AZS UMK Torun and four Notec Inowr. players scored in double figures. AZS UMK Torun maintains eighth place in Group A with 7-8 record. Notec Inowr. at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. AZS UMK Torun are looking forward to face higher ranked Politechnika Gd. (#5) in Gdansk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Notec Inowr. will play on the road against Astoria 2 in Bydgoszcz and is hoping to win this game.
