Top ranked Gornik (14-3) recorded its third loss in Poznan on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by twelfth ranked Biofarm PZN (7-12) 83-80. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Gornik. Biofarm PZN made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Gornik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Gornik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Marcin Flieger (185-84, agency: Promotex) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 assists. Point guard Dawid Brek (187-89, agency: Promotex) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Biofarm PZN players scored in double figures. Damian Pieloch (195-89) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and center Damian Cechniak (208-93) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Biofarm PZN moved-up to eleventh place. Gornik at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Biofarm PZN are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Polfarmex (#15) in Kutno in the next round. Gornik will play at home against Ksiezak Lowicz (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
