Regular Season Round 20: Gravelines - Dijon 52-78

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Gravelines (6-14) was crushed at home by third ranked Dijon (15-4) 78-52 on Saturday. Dijon dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Gravelines' 22. Dijon forced 21 Gravelines turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Nicolas Dorez (203-99) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Elhadj Der (205-99) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Dijon players scored in double figures. Point guard Bryan Coudray (187-0) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Fabien Damase (201-2) added 8 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dijon maintains third position with 15-4 record having four points less than leader Cholet. Gravelines lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Dijon will face league's second-placed Bourg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gravelines will play against Limoges (#16) and hope to win that game.
