Regular Season Round 17: Roser - Sant Adria 83-87

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Sant Adria (11-5) beat on the road 14th ranked Roser (3-13) 87-83 on Saturday. Sant Adria dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Roser's 28. They outrebounded Roser 37-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Roser was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Oscar Amo (205-97) stepped up and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and power forward Alberto Reyes (195-90) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Sant Adria players scored in double figures. Naturalized Andorra forward Alberto Farfan (193-91) responded with 18 points and naturalized Andorra guard Roger Lliteras (194-96) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Roser's coach Juan Hereza tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sant Adria moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with Cornella and Mollet. Roser lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Sant Adria will face Valls Nutrion (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Roser will play against Cornella (#4) and hope to win that game.
