The biggest surprise took place in Salt Lake City where host Jazz (31-14) beat league's leader Mavericks (28-17) 112-107 on Saturday evening. Jazz made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Mavericks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. French center Rudy Gobert (216-92) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Guard Donovan Mitchell (190-96, college: Louisville) chipped in 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) produced 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Seth Curry (185-90, college: Duke) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mavericks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jazz have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Miami Heat and Toronto R. Mavericks at the other side dropped to the second place with 17 games lost.
