Regular Season Round 19: Unia Tarnow - Pogon RS 64-87

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Pogon RS (10-7) outleveled on the road bottom-ranked Unia Tarnow (0-18) 87-64 on Saturday. Pogon RS dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Unia Tarnow's 30. Unia Tarnow was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Mateusz Respondek (180-96) fired 18 points for the winners. Guard Dawid Komandzik (190-97) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Pogon RS players scored in double figures. Guard Jacek Sulowski (192-79) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Blazej Karlik (192-97) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Unia Tarnow's coach Michal Skowron gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Pogon RS maintains sixth place in Group C with 10-7 record. Unia Tarnow lost their eighteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 18 games lost. Pogon RS will face UR Krakow (#10) at home in the next round. Unia Tarnow will play against the league's leader Wisla Krakow and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
