Regular Season Round 18: USE Basket - Valsesia 80-66

Very expected game in Empoli where 14th ranked Valsesia (4-13) was defeated by sixth ranked USE Basket (12-5) 80-66 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93) who scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Sebastiano Perin (195-96) chipped in 18 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). USE Basket's coach Alessio Marchini used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Niccolo Cazzolato (194-89) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian center Nemanja Dosic (206-0) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. USE Basket moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Monfalcone. Loser Valsesia keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. USE Basket will face league's second-placed San Miniato on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Valsesia will play against the league's leader Omegna (#1) and hope to win that game.
